Phoebe Wolfe is an Australian writer and director interested in stories about the vivid interior worlds of women and the ugly feelings of late modernity.
Her debut short film, The Overthrow (2023) followed two teenage girls as they roller-skate from Sydney to Canberra in an emission-less climate change protest. The film premiered internationally at the Academy-accredited HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, toured Australia with Flickerfest and won Best Drama Film at the Australian Women’s Film Festival.
She is in post-production on her upcoming short Purity (2025) with Praxis Pictures starring her sister, Annabel Wolfe and Nathalie Morris. The film is a proof of concept for her debut feature film of the same name, currently in development with Australians in Film as a recipient of the UNTAPPED Development Lab.
Currently, Wolfe is represented by The Artist Group as a director and editor of fashion films for luxury brands such as CHANEL, Rabanne, Celine and ELLE Australia.
