Phoebe Wolfe is an Australian writer and director interested in stories about the complexities of morality and womanhood.

Her debut short film, The Overthrow (2023) followed two teenage girls as they roller-skate from Sydney to Canberra in an emission-less climate change protest. The film premiered internationally at the Academy-accredited HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, toured Australia with Flickerfest and won Best Drama Film at the Australian Women’s Film Festival.

Recently, Wolfe has been honing her craft under the mentorship of revered film director Patricia Rozema during the Australians In Film Untapped Development Lab.

She is in post-production on her upcoming short Purity (2025) with Praxis Pictures starring her sister, Annabel Wolfe and Nathalie Morris. The film is a proof of concept for her debut feature film of the same name, currently in development with Screen Australia..

Wolfe is represented by The Artist Group as a director of luxury fashion films for brands and publications such as CHANEL, RUSSH, ELLE and Vogue Australia.
